Another 'My Place' Project for TSP, this time on behalf of Nottingham City Council within the old Trent FM Building in the City Centre. Our part of the project involved Design and Construction of all Basement areas which include TV Studio with Gallery, Music Studio, 2 x Radio Studios, a Performance space and iMac Teaching room along with storage and WC facilities.
Finishes were in Maple with completion April 2012.
The Studio Control Room features an Audient ASP8024 with Logic/MOTU24 i/o. Our package included supply of all Technical Furniture, Audio and Video equipment and a comprehensive cabling installation.
The Music Live Room provides space for a full band to record or rehearse using a full compliment of high quality musical instruments and a small PA provided as part of our contract. The construction of many areas within a vaulted Basement presented quite a challenge for our Mechanical Services due to the building being listed.
The small TV Gallery looks over the vision Studio with Roland vision mixing and Final Cut Pro for media storage and editing. The system comes with a Reflecmedia package for easy Chromakey work via the 2 x Sony HD cameras (1 with Autocue).
Radio Studio 1 features a Sonifex Broadcast mixer and Myriad P4 Playout system. Presenter microphone is the Rode Broadcaster.
Radio Studio 2 (equipped as Radio 1) provides space for Guests or can be used as a Recording Booth. All rooms are fully tie-lined to a Central Patch via plentiful Audio, Video and Data connections.
The iMac Classroom has 10 seats each running Final Cut Pro, Cubase and Reason networked to an 8TB NAS.
